The company commenced trading 25 years ago manufacturing
Glass Reinforced Plastics (GRP) classic styled car bodies
and fire engine components on a sub-contract basis and soon
established a reputation for a quality finish, an essential
feature of a car body.
The skill base of the company was extended to include pattern
and styling work as well as mould making and moulding components.
The company also has created two other brands, Fibretech (GRP)
since 1987 and Domino Cars when it moved to its present factory,
with a floor area of 8495 sq ft, because the existing premises
were too small for the increasing growth.The range of products
manufactured under sub-contract is as extensive as the number
of Customers Fibretech has supplied to, many being well known
names such as:
George Wimpey, John Mowlem, Sir Robert McAlpine, Southern
Water, Berkeley Homes, Metro Cammel Weyman, Unipart, Linden
Homes, Kings Oak Homes, Bellway Homes, Fairview Homes, Bovis
Homes, Westbury Homes, Drew Smith, Pirelli, Vosper Thornycroft.
The products vary from Helicopter pilot helmets to Sewage
Tanks and Separators to Kiosks and Bathroom Units for Naval
Vessels to yacht and motor cruiser hulls.
